In 2025, the Festival will welcome a total of 141 students and 82 teachers. The scholarship recipients will have two weeks of orchestral practice and two weeks of chamber music, early music, and camerata, totaling approximately 1,200 hours of classes.
Courses
Primarily aimed at string quartets, wind quintets, and brass quintets, but also mixed chamber groups, with or without piano, with instrumentation starting from three members. Concerts will be held in São Paulo (SP) and/or Campos do Jordão (SP).
Focused on historically informed performance, featuring instrumentalists who play period instruments and singers, in the following formats:
1. Instrumental Group: formado por instrumentos antigos; realizará, ao menos, um programa a ser apresentado durante o Festival. O propósito desse segmento é atender a músicos de instrumentos antigos que buscam aperfeiçoamento e aprofundamento na interpretação da música composta até o século XVIII por meio da execução historicamente informada que se aproxima dos preceitos estilísticos da época;
2. Madrigal: formado por cantores dedicados ao repertório composto até o século XVIII.
A classical formation orchestra that will perform at least one program during the Festival in São Paulo (SP) or Campos do Jordão (SP).
A symphony orchestra that will perform two programs during the Festival, conducted by renowned international maestros. Concerts will be held in São Paulo (SP) or Campos do Jordão (SP).
Designed for conductors who will assist in activities of the Festival’s Camerata and Orchestra, as mentioned above.
Intended for instrumentalists interested in solo repertoire, but also chamber music and orchestral repertoire.
Age limit:
Instrumental: 16 to 30 years old
Voice: 16 to 35 years old
Regency: 16 to 35 years
The 55th edition of the Campos do Jordão International Winter Festival will offer up to 141 (one hundred and forty-one) full scholarships for Brazilian or foreign instrumentalists, singers and conductors.
