The 55th edition of the Campos do Jordão Winter Festival will take place from July 5 to August 3, featuring 76 free performances—spanning music and dance—across eight stages in the cities of Campos do Jordão and São Paulo. Established as the largest classical music festival in Latin America, the event is organized by the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries of the State of São Paulo and by Fundação Osesp.
The Festival presents renowned ensembles such as the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (Osesp), the São Paulo State Youth Orchestra (Ojesp), the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra, and the Youth Orchestra of the Tatuí Conservatory. The programs include works by Strauss, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky, as well as Brazilian composers like Villa-Lobos and Pixinguinha. In addition to orchestral concerts, the Festival features chamber music, jazz, and the Jornada Paulista de Dança (São Paulo Dance Showcase), further enriching its schedule.
Performances will be held at traditional venues in Campos do Jordão, such as the Claudio Santoro Auditorium, the Boa Vista Palace Chapel, and Capivari Park, along with the return of the Dr. Além Cultural Center to the program. In São Paulo, concerts will be hosted at Sala São Paulo, the Osesp Choir Room, Estação Motiva Cultural, and Mackenzie. This edition also marks the launch of the Anna Laura Prize for Early Music (PALMA), which highlights historically informed performances.
“The Campos do Jordão Winter Festival is a symbol of our State’s cultural vitality. By bringing together great artists, supporting new generations through scholarships, and building audiences through free access, the Festival reaffirms our commitment to a vibrant, diverse, and accessible culture. It is a celebration of artistic excellence aligned with transformative public policy,” says Marilia Marton, Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries of the State of São Paulo.
Admission is free, with tickets available for reservation on the website starting five days before each performance (at Claudio Santoro Auditorium, Sala São Paulo, and Estação Motiva Cultural). There is also a limited number of tickets available for in-person pickup at the venues, one hour before the concerts. At São Pedro Apóstolo Chapel and Dr. Além Cultural Center, tickets are distributed in person one hour before the concerts.
