The Anna Laura Early Music Award – PALMA is a joint initiative of the Anna Laura Association, Fundação Osesp, and the Government of the State of São Paulo, through the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries. This award aims to recognize and promote performances by young Brazilian musicians dedicated to repertoire spanning from the Middle Ages to the mid-18th century, using historically informed performance techniques and stylistic conventions.
After evaluation by a judging panel, the top three winners registered in the PALMA competition will be awarded cash prizes ranging from R$3,000 to R$10,000 and will have the opportunity to perform a recital each during this edition of the Festival (all recitals will take place on July 20).
