The festival

Presentation

I always say that the student experience in Campos do Jordão through the intense contact with the fellowship holders, coming from different cultures, and with great artists, is unique and fundamental for the professional development.

After five years of consecutive work at the Campos do Jordão International Winter Festival, we can already notice the scholarship students conquering important positions in several schools in Europe, United States, as well as in the main Brazilian and Latin-America orchestras. The Manhattan School of Music, the Bern Conservatory, the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and the São Paulo State Symphony are some institutions that have enlisted fellowship holders after their participation in the Winter Festival.

We are so delighted, since it demonstrates that the Campos do Jordão Festival achieves its purposes. Several students meet in July those who will be their future teachers overseas, and artists, who in a little while will become their professional colleagues.

Another reason for great satisfaction is to make possible the Conductor Kurt Masur’s coming one more time to teach and to conduct the Academic Orchestra, whose concerts will be recorded and available in CD edition.

Artists such as Antônio Meneses, Jean-Louis Steuerman, Rosana Lamosa, Fernando Portari, Michael Collins, Glenn Dicterow, Michael Faust e Márcio Carneiro are some among many others, who will devote their time and knowledge to our fellowship students.

Come and join us to share this unique experience!
